About ABC

ABC Travel is not really a travel agency or company.  It is simply one person – me – who travels … a lot.

I travel a lot for my job.  I work on a cruise ship.  This blog is in no way affiliated with that or any other cruise company (I have to tell you that for legal reasons).  I also travel a lot for fun in between.  Said job has given me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world.  People who have sofas all over the world.  Who wouldn’t pass up a chance to visit a friend and have a free place to stay in <insert your dream city here>?! Needless to say, the way I travel generally involves trying my best to not be a tourist while still catching the thing you HAVE to see in a given place.

The name “ABC Travel” was born on my personal blog when I realized one day that every country/region at the top of my bucket list began with ‘i’ – and I decided to plan to visit them all in one trip.  You can view that post here.

I haven’t made that trip yet, but this site is about more than that.  It’s also about the ABC’s of travel.  I will share with you my advice and experiences so that you too can travel the world.  Many of my friends and family always comment on how jealous they are of my trips and how they wish they could go these places too.  Well you can.  Where there is a will, there is a way.  I will explore all different ways you can see amazing places, even if you think you can’t (due to time or budget constraints).  And I welcome additional tips or words of wisdom from my readers (no adverts though, please!)
